Round 1 Winners and Round 2 Predictions

The first round of playoffs are done and that is a little sad to me because that means 8 teams go to the golf courses earlier than they wanted to and their fans go home depressed after thinking they had a chance. Four of the eight series went to 7 games and two of those four even went to overtime so half of the playoffs could have ended differently. I guess the whole NHL marketing of History Will be Made makes sense now… God I love watching the Jumbo one.

As for our little contest for puck giveaways*, we had four people get seven of the eight series correct! I used the number of games as the tie breaker and that gave us our two winners. Congratulations to commenter “todd danford” for getting four of the series games correct and winning an autographed Sharks puck by Jamie McGinn. Our second winner was commenter “Sully” who got two correct and she won an autographed puck by John McCarthy. The runners up that got one of the number of games in the series correct were “B Shan” and “Lilysmama1109” and they got nothing but a shoutout on here (nice work guys!).

For the second round, we will be giving away two more pucks autographed by Kent Huskins and Jamal Mayers to two winners.

All you have to do to enter is put your series winners down with how many games they will go in the comments section by Friday before midnight and you are entered. Yes I know the games are starting already so don’t complain when you predict incorrectly! The tie breaker will be how many series games you got correctly, then the Sharks series specifically, and after that it will be a coin toss. Bribes will be taken into consideration…

* I would like to first apologize for the missing comments and picks. We switched to a new and better commenting system which removed the old posts on the site. We do have them saved so I went off of that to determine the winners.
